"ATP has been my major source of learning since I got my Canon DSLR in Dec 09. I feel my photography has come on leaps and bounds. The beginner video course was a lifeline into the world of photography and gave a really solid understanding and foundation to build off.

Every time I submit images I love the feedback I get from you and other members, good or bad it encourages me to push forward. Also Nick you reply so quick to questions and critique requests , I dont know where you find the time.

Many thanks for your help over last 8 months"- Warren Russell, UK (liverpool)

Please Note: FREE ACCESS ONLY GIVES ACCESS TO AFFILIATE DETAILS AND NONE OF THE COURSES OR FEATURES OF THE WEBSITE

(NOTE: FREE ACCESS IS CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE)

Once you become a full access member, spend some time familiarising yourself with all the features we have on board here and make sure you check out the video tutorials to make the most of them. Each section below has its own forum as well as your own gallery where you can upload images for critique, comments and guidance to help you improve.

COURSES:

Absolute Beginners - Text, Images and Over 3 Hours of Training Videos

fjBiE-camerasettingfp.jpg

This course takes you step by step through the basics of digital photography and the DSLR camera. We ease you into the world of shutter speeds, apertures, ISO, metering, flash, composition and manual settings. We also go into some detail about computers, offloading images and photo editing.

"I have learned a huge amount by belonging to ATP but the thing which has motivated me the most is that by regularly posting images and seeing other member's images as well as taking part in the various forums I came to realize that there is a chance for ANYONE to be a photographer.

ATP caters for a whole spectrum of aspiring as well as pro photographers and by belonging to ATP I am able to continue on the learning curve called PHOTOGRAPHY!

Many other photography sites seem to cater only for pro's and are very intimidating for someone like me, whereas on ATP I am not afraid to make mistakes as any crits or comments I get from members are constructive and aimed to help me improve instead of destructive or discouraging.

I would encourage anyone who wants to learn about Photography while belonging to a group of like-minded people to join ATP ....it is definitely the best thing I did once I acquired my beloved Nikon DSLR.

Thank you to Nick as well as all the members." Cheers from Lorna Whitford (South Africa)

DSLR Training - Text, Images and Over 3.5 Hours of Training Videos

aiXWR-1998a.jpg

The DSLR training section is based on our one day offline course and goes into more depth on the workings of the DSLR and how to get the most out of it. We go over everything that you are likely to  come across from camera settings to lighting and composition and much more. These two initial courses also work for bridge cameras that have manual or semi automatic features such as aperture and shutter priority, and are designed to improve your level of photography and confidence with your camera.

"ATP has for me been the best and most informative site I have come across to date. The great thing about it is that no matter what level you are at with your photography help is always at hand. All the members are so friendly, you never feel foolish asking even the simplest thing and it's great being connected with so many other photographers across the globe.

It certainly has helped me improve my own photographic skills in leaps and bounds and I would recommend anyone looking to take up or progress their photography to join ATP. Keep up the good work!" Rob Lipscombe. (Somerset, UK).

Stock Photography Course - Text, Images and Over 3.5 Hours of Training Videos

lQQ6x-natural2.jpg

Having shot and sold stock photography for more than 5 years, I think everyone should get involved which is why this extensive course has been filmed and written. Even if you are a complete beginner you will learn how to produce, upload and sell stock images online every day...a residual income! This is a no-holds-barred course with all the secrets revealed from rejections and why they were rejected through to earnings you can expect with many sample images and their actual sales value.

"Just wanted to say thanks for ATP. When I first bought my camera I knew nothing about photography. Thanks to you and the Pros on the ATP forum I recently sold my first stock photo. I could not have done it without ATP. Thank you." David Cutts

Wedding Photography Blueprint - Text, Images and Over 6 Hours of Training Videos

0Gboy-wpbfp.jpg

This wedding photography course was written and filmed over a long weekend at a stately home in the UK. The DVD's have sold all over the world for the past year and the feedback has been incredible...

"Just wanted to say thanks. I got the DVD course at the end of last year in preparation for a friends wedding. I gave them the photos last week and they are absolutely thrilled. Definitely could not have done it without your help. The basic camera setting you recommend in the DVD was worth the price on it's own. I didn't get a single badly exposed shot " - Lee Brookes, UK.

We take you by the hand and lead you through every stage of a wedding from the initial meeting, preparation and practice through to the actual day in great detail with all you need to know. We have also included business tips, interviews and a whole lot more.

"I have been taking images for a number of years in various locations around the globe and regarded myself as fairly proficient in the use of all the gear I have.

I first purchased your Wedding Photography Blueprint (WPB) when I learned of your website, I must say it opened my eyes to a complete new world of photography and the use of 'on camera flash' , 90% of the time I use flash off camera, now I am producing eye pleasing images using various bouncing techniques and flash modifiers.

The WPB DVD's are inspirational for anyone stepping into this area of photography, I have mainly been shooting Street Photography and Urban Portraiture using location lighting now I can travel lighter!!

I am looking forward to stepping up to being a Professional Photographer in the near future, with the knowledge and skills learnt on ATP Members this will make the transition much easier." Ross, Swindon UK

Wedding mania (JoTunney)

I've shot five weddings over the last few weeks, and have finally got round to uploading a few images. These shots were taken in St Andrews on a mainly dry but bitterly cold day. Getting a red nose and having freezing cold hands seems to be par for the course (no pun intended!) at the moment.
