And they are away ...the starting gun went as the sun came over the horizon.
The local Hindu community have the Fire Walking ceremony occasionally.. as a non Hindu person I was not allowed to photograph the actual fire walking but this girl carries the sacred flame all day in a long procession and finally ends up at the glowing coals where she adds the flame before the believers actually walk on the red hot coals.
Boats waiting for the sun to come over the horizon and then the guin goes off to start them on a week-long tuna fishing competition. It is amazing to watch the start of this annual event.
